Book Review | Beyond Forever: The Angelheart Saga book 3 by Annie Woods

Rating: 5/5

This book is the third and final instalment of the Angelheart Saga. Yep, the ultimate conclusion for the characters that have been so dear to me for the last one year and will always be close to my heart.

The story follows Erica Lindell, while she picks up the broken pieces of her heart. But this time, she cannot let herself break, because she is not the only one who will fall, her child who is dependent on her will too. While her first love awaits her, she is torn by the choice; him or the one she has fallen for in his absence. Fate played a game with her and its messing with her again.

After I read the first two books in the series last year, I was overwhelmed with emotions and was very anxious over the ending – and hoping it’ll be as grand as I was hoping it to be. To say the very least, this one did not disappoint, not even a little bit. There were certain angles I was worried about, such as an amazing character being reduced to just choosing between two guys, but it was all handled so graciously well!

The writing style, as always, is smooth flowing and kept me hooked to the story. Erica’s perspective does show a lot of maturity, an element that was missing in the first 2 books and the transition is made with a lot of construct. Sasha, as always, was dashing and his most amazing self. But till now he was shown to be the picture-perfect prince. This book humanised him and showed how he made mistakes too. Though, yes, a lot of things he went through in the book and all that he lost really made me teary while reading. Tyler, someone I wasn’t too fond of in Book 1 and 2, he stole my heart with this one.

I can’t really say much about the plot since anything I say will be a mega-spoiler at this point. But I will say this – this one gets real. It gets very real.

One thing I liked about the whole series is that there was a main plot, and a lot of sub plots. And no one is left hanging by the end. I did feel a lot of side-characters weren’t given as much importance in this book as they had been given before. This one was more focused on the main characters.

The ending is fulfilling but also leaves a scope for maybe a spin off? *fingers crossed*

I really liked this book and I recommend it to people who love reading romance fiction or are trying to get into the genre and need a book to start off with.
